hi all, has anyone experienced this problem before.

I have a 2012 fireblade and its just started cutting out on me randomly.
I was at Cadwell yesterday and it did it twice on what ended up my last session.

    heres a video:

it does it going into the chicane at around 1:12, and 3:30 going through park corner.

I am at a bit of a loss as to what this can be. I am think maybe ignition switch related as the first time it happens the whole clocks reset themselves.

    any ideas?

    Thanks

    Ian

Happened to me just after a service and rear foot peg removal; I think the Honda dealer did not plug something back in correctly under the rear seat.
Took bike back and they seemed to have cured it. However; it happened again a few months later, after I had given the bike a good clean.I sprayed WD40 around the side stand to remove grease and think this caused a problem with a switch down there. I am very careful with cleaning anywhere need the side stand. Never had a problem since. The bike would just cut out under acceleration.

Check the multi plug connections at the back of the near side front fairing.

Will do thanks for your replies. The bike is still on the trailer in my dads garage following the track day, I will let you know as soon as I get a look at it.

Check your battery terminals- i had the same issue on an 05 for a while - tightened the terminals while looking around for a cause (one was only finger tight) - problem never recurred - did another 50000km (about 30000m) trouble free before trading on a 2012 blade
