Well tried to fight it but been looking at another blade for weeks So tomorrow. I start looking for a new one Looking for 09-10 repsol , maybe HRC or black see what deal I can get I love shopping for a new bike
Cant beat the excitement of looking for a new bike mate. There's plenty out there so just bide your time for the right 1.
Yea saw that mate very nice but gotta go dealers to px speed triple Might try and sell privately but with the amount I,m away working makes it difficult
plz for your own sanity..do not buy the abs version! Its a lottery if you get an ok one or a beast. Mines back to dobles on Monday yet again! sigh
Zip is it possible it's the control unit for the ABS? I've heard all sorts of work arounds for the sort of problems you are experiencing, only for it to be the control unit needing changed for the updated version. Ask Dobbles about the new unit.
Again sorry for hijack... But ^^^ is exactly why I didn't get / or would never want abs... Yes I'm sure most people's is fine, but what's wrong with some good old fashioned lines and levers? Mo gizmos = mo problems....
if you need any help or advice on how best to handle the ABS issue with the dealer then PM me with the details and I'll see if I can help at all.
I only passed my test 16 months before buying the blade, and thought it would be a good idea to get the ABS in case of in my inexperience I grabbed a handful when panicked.
Wow ColinBR I admire your quick progress to a Blade in only 16 months. Not a problem if you have a mature attitude and I suppose the Throttle works boths ways, well done mate.
Self preservation built in yup I started off on a new GSXR600 and managed 7500 miles in 12 months on that bike (not bad considering the weather up here) and decided rather than keep doing that up I'd be better off on a bigger bike (I'm 16 stone). Besides the blade is the easiest bike I have ever ridden and inspires confidence.
Might be asking a favour from guys on here to check out any near them I see before I travel 100 s of miles
Don't let distance get in your way mate. A few hours here or there for the bike you want is more than worth it.
I fly to the isle of Man to get my Blade - did have it looked at in advance so knew it was mint and it was still under warranty - good bikes are out there, from where you are a train / megabus to collect and road trip home maybe? Can you sell the Speed first and then have cash in hand?
There were one or two sweet looking ones in the two main Exeter dealers a couple of weeks ago when I was last in them and you've got Mr B just up the road from you Gray. Bridge are Triumph Dealers as well as Honda so there would be any px issues.
