Good afternoon peeps, and because it WAS a good afternoon i managed to 'blag' a few hours off to start the long awaited (for me anyway) cobble together of the stoved bike.
A few weeks ago i managed to replace the left hand clip on and switchgear, no piccys cos i was in my poxy dark shed.
So, the first job today was to sort out the hydraulic clutch, as the clutch fluid reservoir managed to 'fall off' and empty its contents. After using @ 200ml of fluid i was getting annoyed cos it just wasn't 'happening'....so, roll a tab and 'give it a coat of thinking of'.
TIP: If you struggle to bleed out the air, it's probably stuck right next to the lever at the banjo.
so i got her rolling and up to the GF's garage:

you can see for yourselves most of the damage appears superficial....however, ya gotta remember its MY luck......
after stripping the plastics off i found the headlight bracketry was pretty smashed up aswell...... BASTARD!!!!
But, and here's a massive THANK YOU to Garyb, i have procured some of Blackpools finest 'double bubble'....hope it fookin works! lol. On the downside it will mean no wheelies.......not until i get a spare bracket anyway.

the blue tape IS blue tape..lol. who needs fancy sash clamps and sposh speed clamps...

Good for you Blags. At long last you're climbing back up to the road. I'm having trouble seeing all the pictures at the moment but that's probably the poxy bandwidth.

forgot to mention, the clock unit was hanging off too.......but 'double bubble' will see to them pesky plastic spigots.....i think.
    plan for tomorrow is:

a reet good clean while the plastics are off.
re fit headlight unit and new main fairing stay.
swear like a trooper cos its a right bastard.
swear some more cos i clean forgot where all the screws, bolts, nuts, captive fasteners etc went
try to understand how to do the flapper mod.
think about doing oil n filter at same time.
    fit new lust racing bungs.
swear out loud cos i drilled my new fairing wrong.
go out and buy right size sockets for wheel spindles.
put the bike on stands and try get the new hoops fitted. (slipsmarts from the group buy)
    go get them balanced.
swear at dealer for being a robbing bastid , just to balance loose wheels.
refit wheels after a right good clean.
swear at my mate down the phone cos he's working away and i wanted to borrow his 'talk wench'.
find out when i can get my mitts on a beowulf pipe...hopefully immediately, before refitting everything.
fit new mirror n riders footpeg.
fit new screen...temporary cheapo shit jobby.
    go out and crash. :D
