I've got a BMC, got it on offer for £36 from ebay. Regals on ebay still do them, may be you can offer them
    BMC Air Filter FM527/04 Honda CBR 1000 RR 08 11 | eBay

Just be sure you get the road version and not the race.

Had to replace the OEM anyway and for that price it was a no brainer.
TBH I didn't notice much difference but I know airflow restriction will be less over time compared to an OEM.

As long as the filter is new or just been cleaned either will be OK for the remap

If you go with the sandard BMC, keep your OEM filter, better flow on the cbr ...

If you want mawimize the air flow, go with the Race version, better midrange ( true on the dyno ) but you have to clean it every 5000 kms.

bmc, Kn, etc in their standard version doesn't have any advantages.

If you want perfs , go with the race, i ride a piper cross race version , same as HOLZAUER Honda Racing in Germany, and i ve growth my mid range .

^^ what he said but I went for the road because I will do 5K in about 2 and a bit months. I think the road has more layers thus need to be cleaned less often.
