I currently have a rear paddock stand that has a swing arm shaped tray that lifts from under the swing arm. I'm thinking of changing to Bobbins and the requisite attachment for my paddock stand? What do you guys recommend, R&G do bobbins that double up as crash protectors but they look a little big? As for the paddock stand you can get attachments that are like hooks that hang down or the static two pin v shape?

    I would like you pro's and con's

No pros and cons. Hooks win every time. I have a set of R&G bobbing and a set of chain adjusters fitted they may be a bit big but there there for a reason. And with the R&G they hold the hooks out far enoug that they won't mark your swinger.
You can see them in this pic might help you make your decision.

Stand bobbins are nice and safe, although I find it slightly more difficult to put the bike onto the stand (easier with two people).
I'm not a fan of that type of protector, so I would stick with just normal stand bobbins.
I think the hooks you're talking about actually fit to the bike? (often Gilles, often paired with chain adjusters) If so, you don't need them, just the bobbins and v shaped stand adapters.

    I think I've mastered that one JM1.
I have a piece of 4x2 that I put on the floor and rest the bike stand on it. Just holds it with a little bit of weight off center onto the stand allowing me to go round the back and pick the bike up with the hooks.
I was petrified of scratching the swinging arm, as it's black. I also found I had to grind the hooks on the weld. It gives a lot more clearance from the arm.
Plus i attached some industrial Velcro onto the flat side of the hooks this allows a cloth to stick to it, again reducing the chance of scratches.
Bloody heart pumping stuff the first few times lifting the bike up and down thought ;).
Still is TBH. Much preferred two people.

Bobs for me and V lift, hate those swinging hooks. None of the bobs were intended for crash they are only to lift the bike, and when/if the bike does crash on them they snap off the arm mounting trust me I have seen L O A D S..

I use an Abba stand - not read much about Abba on here - what do other members think? I get on fine with it and its easy to use. I've also got a paddock stand but always a bit nervous when using it as it's the same as Carl's that lifts under the swing arm.
