OK. Prepare yourselves Do the mirrors on a 2004 Blade fold in for convenience without having to undo the allen bolts? When I got the bike I had a little try but they seem completely fixed in place. I didn't push too hard on them as I didn't want to wrench anything on the bike. It's a bit of an inconvenience as put both my bike and my car in the garage side by side and in order to achieve that I've got to get the bike close to the wall. My R6 had folding mirrors so I just used to push them in when I wanted to manoeuvre the bike into its resting position
Lol - can just imagine the point of no return where you exert that little bit more pressure and are left with two mirrors in your hands!! Sort of thing I'd do... Reminds me of the classic Volvo ad where the guy knows it's going to happen but slams the boot and pops the window with the stuff wedged in. Don't actually know if they do or not, so this post was totally useless to ya. Sorry mate...
In that case I don't know either, but I got the same mental image lol Hope someone comes along who is not waiting your time
Until then we can only mock ey Jamie.... Lol First time I done the r6 ones was a bit of a death or glory move as I wasn't sure either ha ha
Yup that's exactly the mental picture I had. Quickly followed by me sinking to my knees and doing this.......
Don't know why but this has tickled me big time - at my desk chuckling away like a naughty schoolboy lol
I'll take pity on you mate Have a look under "Notable Features" Rich. 2004 CBR 1000RR Specifications | eHow.com Whether I'd trust what it says though...
Would make my day! Then I can see for myself when they snap off, wrecking your mirrors and fairings that I'm not the only total idiot out there!
There the same mirrors as on the 2007 CBR600RR?? If so the answer is YUP! ETA - Go fold your mates mirrors in first ... or the dealers!
They look the same, Fletch. I'll have a mess about tonight. If you hear an anguished scream coming from the Teesside area, you'll know what it is.
While I was looking for you this morning I did find this. Not hugely relevant to the thread, but we've established that's the way it's rolling anyway. It's the Honda 1977 range. Or Dan's garage.
True. My 550F is still sitting, cuddled up tight against the FireBlade in the back of the garage waiting for me to retire and shower it with love and care. I'd almost bet it would start with a couple hours preparation. About the same as the Ducati did, and I used that every day.
I managed to fold my left hand mirror in. But it snapped, so did the main fairing stay. So did the clocks. So did the rest of the fairings. So did the footrest. And the crash bung, and the indicator, and...........
I was actually thinking about pushing it in with my hand instead of getting up to speed and letting the Queen's highway do the rest though, Blaggers.
