Got the bike booked in for a suspension tune tomorrow at KAIS in Atherton (M46 0LT) - from memory @Si. had theirs done here last Autumn and was pleased with the results. Bit more expensive than @Lozzy got her guy for but its only £50 and people keep saying its the best money you can spend. Chances are with some of the comments I’ve had (not mentioning any names but @BoroRich) they’ll say I’m too lardy for a blade and point to a Harley I’ll let you know how I get on ............. or if I come away on a quad
So, bike went in as planned and less than an hour later I’m relieved of my £50 and getting ready to ride back home. Must confess that I was a little sceptical for the results as IMHO the bike had felt fine beforehand with the standard settings. The guy had even said the back wasn’t that far off, but the front had needed some attention. His only suggestion and even that was only a ‘maybe think of upping the rear spring to the next stiffer one’ (a subtle way of saying I’m verging on being a lardy possibly @BoroRich?) but certainly not essential for my current kitted up stature. I asked how much and said I’d see how I get on with it this weekend. Felt the difference virtually straight away and within 10 minutes was totally gobsmacked at how much better it feels altogether but especially at the front - not going to phone straight back for that new rear spring but it may well go on my list of To Do’s So a big thumbs up to KAIS from me for making my ride not just a bit, but leaps & bounds better.
I said no such thing @Boothman !! I simply inferred that a big ape like you doesn't belong on a bike designed for orientals
