I'm not back to work till the 2nd and I'm bored already!!! A whole week of boredom, now don't get me wrong I don't enjoy work, on the contrary but a week in winter stuck in with the family watching crap tv chancing the grandchildren around in an attemp to keep the house in one piece.
    Humbug perhaps

Me too and in exactly the same way. If it was a week off in July, perfect. Plus at the moment I'm afraid to go out the door in case I drown. By the end of the week we'll be circling each other like caged animals, united only in our fear of family visiting. I've asked Father Christmas for a shit load of Xbox games so let's hope I'm not on the naughty list.

A winter project is a great idea, I've always fancied a yam XL500 to strip and rebuild,
But that won't prevent suicide this year!

Did any of you see the tt review on itv 4 it made me remember the cracking visit me and my mates had and I actually found myself looking at steam packet online to book for this year ,then I thought about moto gp and what bsb event,s I would like to do ,then I thought I'd clean my bike again,so you see there's always plenty of good stuff to plan even if weather and climate prevents us from actually doing.p.s .i only thought about cleaning my bike, but decided a bottle of Shiraz was a better plan, but hay it,s the thought that counts.

I'm not totally insensitive to those who must work over the holidays. In my defence I did 20 years of minimum national holiday allowances, every weekend and two days at Christmas so it's another bit of road rash earned. Jeanette's new job possibly means this is the last week long Christmas break she'll get so it'll be worse then.

I work at Debenhams and I have to be here 2 hours before the store opens to make sure everything is ok. (ie Power, lights, tills etc...) Why do people get up at daft a clock to buy stuff that is a couple of quid cheaper than it was yesterday?

I was happy enough as they let me off work early so I was home
by six last night. but thats the only exception, doubt I will get
new years off early, really wish I hadnt agreed to cover the weekend
    shifts now.

I really don't get it at all - can buy cheap shit anytime of the year.... If your lucky enough to get time off at Xmas, spend it with the family ffs....more important things in life than getting up at 4am to get 50% off a jumper that was crap last year and didn't sell!?!.

Just spent the morning with my bro and his 5 and 3 yr old, now it feels like Christmas!!

    Rant over lol

Yeah which is just ridiculous!! Day after Xmas it's Easter? Wtf....enjoy Christmas whilst its here.

I get the sales to get rid of stuff but going shopping on Boxing Day just de values the whole thing? We moan we work to hard and don't see the family then waste quality time by going shopping when there is so much more you could be doing?
