Somehow decided to get back into biking after a 10 year break with a 3xtrackday euro tour planned for the month end and only a week to get used to the new bike before I head back to Dubai for work (home is Westbury, Bucks). Sensible it is not but fun definitely! Loved the first ride straight off after such a long break. Used to track day lots and been riding since I was a kid on and off. Owned most litre sports bikes in past and this is my second blade (2013 HRC). Found the Forum looking for advice on how to fit Kriega tailpack fixing straps (check the thread its funny if not that informative). Took me about 2 hours and you need to expose the rear sub-frame but easy enough once i figured it out. Good to meet you all (virtually at least!)
Welcome Mr Nick hope you are taking some sand tyres with you Lol.Sounds like you are going to have some fun with the blade .Whats the bike scene over there ? I know there is plenty of dosh but have they twigged it yet?
Welcome Mr Nick to the forum, i'm still revatively new and..........................."everybodies been soooo nice!!!!"
Welcome to the forum nick, surprised its taken 12 posts for someone to ask for pics of the blade though.
Hey Givy Dubai is big on show and tell bikes like Goldwings, Harleys, and heavily customised sports bikes. Usual deal is Hayabusa or similar with extended swingarm and custom paint job ridden of course in T-shirt and jeans! Roads are made for straight line speed but radar traps everywhere until you get well away from any developed area, so the real deal is posing in places like Marina (Jumeirah Beach). My bike will stay in UK and be used when I'm home for road and track days. Have a 911 Turbo S in Dubai - keeps the sand and heat on the outside, is nearly as fast as a bike, and gets valet parking wherever it goes.
