anyone know how to release these as i was unable to keep on top of them over xmas due to an injury, i have used nearly a tin of brake cleaner and still cant get them turning cheers
Stick something like an M12 nut & bolt through them and tighten them up until you can use one end to spin them round.
Bigger washers? It only needs to grip both sides so you can use a ratchet/spanner to get them moving.
i have soaked them in brake cleaner and cleaned them, used bigger washer's and still can't get them to move! does this mean my disc's are ready for the bin? is there anything else i can do? i only left them for a few weeks when i dislocated my knee and they and seem to have seized solid.
Used M8s without problems. Have you have them spinning before? First time I did mine was after about four/five years of winters, got to be careful not to over tighten as it will just crush the button and seize the carrier to the disc. You just need to lightly nip the nut and only from one side rotate to free the button
Question. I get my bike serviced every year by Honda. But I have noticed that my front wheel does not spin freely when it is on the paddock stands. There is some friction caused by the break pads. Is this ok?
Used to do them end of every month Jon and moved really easy but didn't do them for a month and now they won't move at all
