    Hi

im have a nightmare with my bike, had an off a few weeks back, doing about 40mph had to slam on the breaks, but the bike wouldn’t stop as quick as i thought it should have and hit a car.
The bikes still under warranty so sent it Honda Chiswick, worst experience ever. After 4 weeks of being with them, they tell me there’s nothing wrong with the bike or its ABS.
I did a bit research of my own, as you do with all this info on the net and came to the conclusion it could have been caused with air in my pipes. Tried explaining this to Honda, would they listen, would the heck. I even told them how to try and reproduce this, as it works ok on normal rides. My thoughts are that when stuck in traffic the bike and the brake pipes get hot (ABS have pipes going all over the bike), heating up the fluid, if there’s any air stuck in them it’ll expand and give a spongy feel and brake fade sensation, which is exactly what I had. So to reproduce this, simply leave the big running for 20-30 mins, let it get hot, take down the road and hit the brakes and hard as possible and see what happens.
I would have thought thats easy to do, but they don’t seem to want to do it, insiting on taking it for an "extended ride", something i feel wont will bring the problem to light.

Any advise on what I can do next ?

And PS, Honda Chiswick are pants

Sounds like air or water in the system? Could also be that the fluid is contaminated? The dealer should flush the system and start from fresh, you can use MUCH better fluids than are supplied from stock as CC said in the other thread you posted in.. Also why would they not have faith in the bike they sold you? The Honda ABS is awsome so something must be very wrong... When I tested one I grabbed a HANDFUL of front at 80mph and should have been punted into the next life but it just pulled up in the damp no problem I was VERY impressed!!!!

Yeah I totally agree... Chiswick Honda are ar*eholes!!!!! Bought my RR7 from them and they gave me the baffle for the Scorpion exhaust and when I fitted it the carbon exhaust exploded and melted the rear end. They weren't interested at all even though I had just bought it from them. The manager there is a total w*nker and just wants to boast about knowing John McGuinness....

Sorry not very helpful but definitely understanding of your plight.....
