Brake light staying on

    Had my bike serviced recently and got the shop to fit a set of Gilles vcr rearsets whilst it was in, problem is now when i use the back brake the brake light stays on, is this something i sort out (how)or is it a 60 mile round trip to the shop

    On the rear brake you will either have the standard push sensor in a rubber boot thing it might need adjusting really easy to do . If nothing there and you have a banjo bolt sensor it might be faulty

    What Wedgie said. Just adjust it using threaded plastic thingymeebob.

    If it's the standard honda thingy then as you look towards the rear of the bike you need to adjust it anti-clockwise if it is staying on.

    My brake light has just done the same, and is stuck on constantly since a TD the other day.

    Pretty sure it's not the front brake nipple as can see it fully extended when I pull the ASV lever away from it. Had a look at the rubber booted connector on the rear brake (OEM rearsets) and tried adjusting the nut on it fully both ways up and down and no joy. No idea what a Banjo Bolt sensor is or where to find it? Any clues anyone can give me??

    I have got new rearsets to put on this weekend so hopefully that will sort it somehow. If not, anything else to try? :confused:

    Julian, how did you get on?
    Post a pic of the switch if it's still not sorted as I think your switch may have been changed to a micro switch when the rearsets were fitted?
