My rear caliper is stuck on the slider pin with the hex socket head. It is loose on the caliper so its only stuck on the part that goes into the bracket

Anyone got any tips before I set the whole bike on fire?

Do you have a plumbers blow torch so you can heat the outer part of the bracket and expand it slightly.

yeah a blow torch will help you set the bike on fire;)

A heat gun would be safer.

Is the bolt corroded? My guess is was put on with too much thread lock on

i have replaced it today, I think heat would have damaged it, it was only about £60 for a new one so wasnt really worth messing around with

It was loose on the threaded part, it was the sliding bit that is meant to be greased that was stuck

I have to say, it feels totally different now, I cant believe its got through numerous MOTs and the inspection from when I bought the bike
