Hi guys, looking to improve the brakes on my 2010 blade, and wondering what would be best to splash the cash on? Pads, hoses etc..???

Any upgraded brake lines (mine are Venhill) would be the place to start . I've not tried different pads but when I do they will be Brembo

going to order some braided lines for sure, probably hel as had them on my r6 before, have looked at the brembo master cylinder, but £200 + seems alot, see how the lines improve it and go from there i think

If yours is a new bike and I guess it is, I would get the Cylinder 1st, you can get them for around £179, a set of braided lines will cost half that price and give you nowhere near the performance

I have recently changed my lines (£25 off ebay), cleaned the callipers and put in new pads with fresh brake fluid. I run the standard master cylinder on my 07 blade. I can safely say the performance has improved dramatically. As I keep endowing the bike anyway so I don't think I need any more brake force.

its true. i cant believe they think its ok to fit that MC to a bike as quick as a blade. especially when yam are fitting brembo as standard on R1 and R6. the brakes on my R6 race bike were mega and all i did was change the hoses

Is it worth upgrading the MC on the 07 Blade?

sorry to jump on here chaps but just about to order a set of HEL lines and wanted to check set up.

I take it im best going for the full length race set up with 2 front lines (3 way inc T junction) and obviously the rear?

No fitting issues to know about?

    cheers

Ray - Yep it's pretty much the same cylinder as the cylinder. They're used on Suzukis etc too
