2006 CBR. Fitted helibars, took bike out, and the front brake is binding. Has anyone had trouble with the master cylinder after any work being done on the bars. Am suspecting the piston has jammed or something. Anybody had that ?
I can't see how it could effect the brakes tbh. How bad is it? Can you lift the front wheel off the ground and spin it? Check pistons are clean, caliper pins clean etc
It's bad enough for the disc to heat up and lock the front solid, after roughly 3 miles. Luckily someone was with me went and got an 8mmm spanner and let some pressure off. On the 3 mile journey back I had 3 more lock ups.
It was at an ordinary level when I set off. I can only think that with the disturbance of fitting new bars, that something has caused the master cylinder piston to jam. Poss a foreign body in the fluid. Flushing it this morning but, it's a new one on me !
