Guys just wondered if anyone could tell me if there is a breather tube about 6 inches long that comes out of the bottom of the petrol tank and goes to nowhere. I have just fitted a new bmc air filter and when putting everything back noticed I had this 6 inch tube on the right side of the tank, next to other tubes coming out of the bottom, It has a bit of a hook shape to it. I suspect that it is a breather tube as I cannot see where it would fit.

    enjoy the weather
    ;)

Is it the overflow tube from the top of the tank?

You have an Alloy fill level indicator at the top of the tank but if you overfill there is a tube connected to the space just above the fill level indicator which I believe directs fuel to the deck?

Just checked with a 2008 manual, yup its a breather pipe which should be fed through a hole which is at the edge of the fuel tank, so no worries then . Thanks for replies . Crescent Suzuki Verwood on Friday to put her on their dyno.PCV, BMC filter, Yoshimura R77 exhaust(not full system). only 900 miles on clock, but its had its 600 mile service!
