Hello, I currently have a double line setup from the standard master cylinder but have an 19RCS to install. Does anyone know if the supplied banjo bolt with the 19RCS will fit the lines? If not, can someone provide a link to the correct double banjo bolt for fitting to the 19RCS and Hel lines. Cheers!
Just done this last weekend and ordered this http://auto.helperformance.com/double-banjo-bolt-m10-x-1-00 Apparently you can use the one brembo supplies but you need an extra washer(4 total) as the hel banjos are thinner than oem? For 3 quid may aswell buy the hel one i thought...
The size is exactly what I needed, will be ordering this: https://raceboltuk.com/product/race-spec-banjo-bolt-m10-x-1-0mm-pitch-twin-line-length/ Cheers bud!
When I ordered my HEL lines from Mike at BDS he supplied me with the appropriate banjo bolt for the RCS Otherwise an extra crush washer would do tbd trick Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I wouldn't recommend stacking copper washers on something as critical as brakes as you run a risk of leakage. If Hel banjos are thinner than OE ones (like Goodridge) you'll need 2mm thick washers to compensate. I fitted a 19RCS with Goodridge shadow lines and bought these to suit (they work a treat): http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Goodridge...211828?hash=item4889d6f6f4:g:xygAAOxy4dNS6PBT
Cheers for the recommendation, @gcon45, will look into it as I ain't interested in fudging anything on the bike. Garage it's getting taken to for installation may have something about. The new banjo bolt came with 3 crusher washers as standard from Hel.
Hi, It should not make a difference what master cyl you are putting the lines on, on a 2 line system you should have 3 washers and when you put the banjo bolt through the 2 lines and 3 washers there should be about 10mm of thread to bolt to the master cyl, more is ok as long as long as it will screw in by hand and not bottom out.
