First of all has anybody used them and are they any good? I race an 08-11 blade and already have ebc xc discs, braided lines, ceramic pads and a brembo rcs M/C. But still after better braking perfomance. Has anybody used them on track and found a great deal of difference? Also wondering if they will go straight on with no problem? Running standard forks just upgraded internals. Also need to know if I will require an upgrade to the 320mm brembo discs as they are almost as pricey as the calipers!!! Cheers Mark
i've not run the m4's myself, but have the HPK's,PVm's etc. tbh,the m4 isn't a big jump from what others have said,if a jump at all.you'd be better upping to the HPK's or similar spec. as for fitting, they all fit as long as you get 108mm spacing, then you will just need caliper spacers to suit.but dont need to do anything special to get them to fit.
Yup pretty much what most folk have told me when I asked the same question... OEM callipers are pretty decent to be honest. get the big benefit is HPK's which you wont get less than a grand second hand?
I've just fitted a set of M4's. Orriginal calipers had been bodged by a spanner monkey who'd used mole grips to remove pistons so basically F.U.B.A.R.'d. Honda wanted £695 for a pair of calipers without pads and the Brembo's came in at £499 with pads so no brainer for me. I can't really compare like for like but a simple straight swap (remove the spacers) and excellent braking. Could be more to do with the pads though but either way no complaints.
