    Hi,

Thought I had finished my RR8 but I am disappointed with the brakes.

It has some race spec brembo pads in it which I am planning on replacing with HH pads and I am considering replacing the ISR master cylinder with a Brembo RCS unit.

Has anyone used one and what did you think?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

    Simon

You will be better of replacing the pads first and seeing if that gives you the result you are after.

Chances are they are as race pads on the road really wont work unless your risking your life into every corner just to keep some heat in them

I would first try Brembo fast road and track pads sold by HPS about £85 for both sides mega bite on these pads , if thats not enough go for the RCS unit , I have this combination on my bike , did a track day at Cadwell and could just about out brake any one that was there that day ,I got the Brembo RCS from a site abroad , alot cheaper then anyone over here , will post site up when i find it!!!!

I think it may well be the pads that are in the bike.

I will try them first before doing anything too drastic!

Get a 20 ratio Brembo master cylinder fitted to the bike.

Fitted one of these yesterday along with HEL lines and it has transformed the bike - night and day over standard setup.

The RCS unit cost approx £120 more than the fixed ratio. The only difference appart from the flip up lever is that you can change the ratio from 18 to 20.

However the 20 ratio is perfect!!!! and saves you £120, to pay for the matching clutch lever!!!

Same mate but the Brembo cylinders are just awesome . You gotta try 1 to realise . Totally different feel to standard , intact people say not to put the full on race ratio Brebo cylinders on road bikes as they can be to violent for road use . Emergency stop and over the bars lol
