My nearest round of the BSB is the one at Thruxton, saying that it's probably a 4+ trek for me!
It's a bit of a shame that the round is so early in the season with race day being on 15th April, but I was talking to a couple of mates about taking a trip up yesterday, is anyone else on here thinking about going?

There's a distinct possibility mate. Believe it or not, my mates wife expressed an interest in going which meant Jeanette said she wouldn't mind either. I suggested Thruxton as the one they'd get least bored actually getting to, plus it's a personal favourite of mine.

However, as all these things, by April the idea will be subject to memory loss and diary comparisons. Should it be a goer you could swing by on your way through and snakes alive, we'll have ourselves a convoy.

That sounds like we could have a plan, like you i'm sure by the time April rolls around my mates will be tied up with other things!
After posting this I realised it might have been better place in meets, so I've linked it to a thread under that heading.

    Oh there you are.

I sympathise with how long a schlepp it must be for you. Why is it that Cornwall is only big when you have to drive the length of it?

Oddly enough, from my front door to my favourite parking spot at Thruxton it's exactly 100 miles.

We sometimes manage to get suppliers to pay for us and get us 'kiss my arse' passes, but that's less and less likely these days, which is a shame as it often includes pit passes as well as hospitality.

Larkhill services would be a great meet up area if enough people can get away, then we could all arrive together.

Ahhh, those bloody awful canvas prints of Salisbury plain, which I understand they've binned at last.

That's not quite so far as i'd thought it was then, even so by the time I throw in a few breaks for fuel and to rest my bony ass ....
I was looking at ticket prices yesterday and the race day ticket are only £25 at the moment with paddock transfers an extra £8, I thought that was quite reasonable. Not as good as free i guess.
I'm might book my tickets in a bit to stop myself being side tracked into doing something else nearer the time.

Good idea. It's a great track and there's one spot where you can see a good two thirds of the circuit.

Lark hill services are on the A303 about 10 miles our side of Thruxton.

Countess! That's the chappy. We tend to call it Larkhill cos of the camp to describe where it is.
