Hi guys! First summer with bike is over and i sold my first bike sv640s. Tomorrow im going to look at a fireblade 08, that has one owner and 20000km on the meter. Anyone who can give advice on what to look for? sadly enough im a noob... Clutch was changed on warranty, but he says it dosnt drink too much oil like many 08s do.
2 recalls were done on the 08 Blade, one on the clutch and one on the coolant pipe. Give any Honda dealer the reg and they will confirm if they were done, which they should have been as it was a free recall. Otherwise same checks as any other bike IMO. Hope it works out and the bike is what you want.

I guess apart from the recalls as mentioned and any kind of check to make sure it has not been an insurance write off..... the owner says it does not use TOO much oil, by that i gather it does use oil ? Just be aware of some of the issues surrounding bikes that do use oil, someones interpretation of what constitutes a lot of oil or not much at all is very subjective..... so be very careful, as when bought, the problem is yours. This is why i think prices of some of the newer shaped blades are not as high as you might think. People catch on and don't forget.

Haha yeah, guess the colors flew off during the testdrive. Runs like a monster. Big step from my SV650 haha.
I just found Techspec, looks ok. They dont wear on the leather? The bike is beautiful without anything on the tank but i think i would feel better with a little more grip.
