C-Abs software update !

    Finally got my hands on the latest fast bikes mag today, reading sports bike of the year article on the fireblade Sp . The article said there has been a software update to the C-abs
    Wondering if this is just for the Sp or all c-Abs models. Anybody know owt ?

    Phone up your local dealer and find out! I know there was a difference between early abs models and the 12 plate with the ecu's not sure if you can get a software update though with out changing the ecu

    By the sounds of it maybe a recent update, mines a 13 c-abs

    Dare I say it sounds like marketing bullshit. I'm sure we've got owners with yr14 blades (inc an sp iirc) who have experienced the abs issues.

    Thank feck it lacks pace, if it had any I would lose my licence monthly

    HOW FAST??...no your honour with all due respect you must be mistaken. I am sure I was not going that fast; you see it is impossible....my bike lacks pace, honest!

    HAHA! lacks pace.....

    I have diced with many a new sportsbike on B roads on my SP and I can guarantee in real world situations no other bike out there is any faster, and I dont know if its just me having more bottle or something but it regularly feels faster mid corner resulting in me having to back off the gas.

    That and I'm a natural superstar on the bike ;)


    And I can confirm the update to the ABS system is gash, still riddled with problems.

    TBH guys, it may surprise you but my 2010 ABS had the fastest corner entry speed of any bike I have ridden..........particularly when I pulled the brake lever and nothing happened
