Guess who just found the last remaining place available at Cadwell on Monday @SimonRR & Paul, I'll see you there in Middle group after all
All in all a nice dry day. Can't believe I've goosed a tyre in 3 track days though. I'll have a look at the videos tomorrow, in the mean time here's a picture of our digs.
Was great fun, slow start for me as not track day fit with only one this year...felt better in the afternoon, looking forward to Donny now next week, that will be the end of my tyre too i reckon, someone needs to invent a track day tyre with HUGE grip and longevity... BTW Gary did you manage to get on in the evening sess too?
I'm definitely gonna rotate the rear tyres for Mallory. Gives me time to order another as they're £200 I stayed to watch in the evening for a couple of hours as I couldn't get on but the guys who arrived for the evening did, so I got my big camera out and took some shots of them on track. Can you let me know the make and model of your generator as I can't seem to find an exhaust for mine.
Didnt get much good footage as to much traffic for anything to fast as you well know. You got any later session one when I woke up lol
I do that. When I pass in the braking zone I feel that I may block them before turning in, so I take a tighter line. It's a habit I need to break as I could carry more corner speed if I move back towards the outside of the track when overtaking. Just rendering Session 6 which has a Picture in Picture view from both cameras of me & Simon. @SimonRR Whats the make & model of your generator as I can't seem to find an exhaust for mine.
Not sure what make mine is Gary, nothing on the genny? Had it a few years and can't find the paperwork for it sorry mate
Is there no name on it? In the mean time, here's one from session 6. I switched between cams when you catch up at around 4:45.
Session 5, front & rear. Another rider went grass tracking at 6:25 while looking for an overtake out of Barn.
How do u get a 17 minute video on YouTube. Mine won't load. Looks good. Other than tight lines , but I fault at that too
Thanks. I should try instruction again and point that out as one of my issues. Seems to be worse on high speed corners where I scrub off too much speed and end up stuck to the inside, that and the fact that I'm possibly obsessed by scraping my sliders which makes me take a tight line at slower speeds so I can increase my lean angle. Either way, the fact that I'm aware of the possible causes means that I should probably change what I do, although some of it is fun Re YouTube, as long as your account allows over 15 minute videos (I think you have to give them your mobile no.) then you just need to make sure the file sizes you upload are not too big. My last one was 1.6Gb.
That's a really good vid Gary but might I make a comment, and I mean this most respectfully......you're missing almost every apex. Have you considered Mike Edwards DVD on riding Cadwell? You'll be surprised how much faster you'll lap if you use more of the track
