Hi all, Not had the best afternoon - I've been cleaning up the blade ready for a trip to the Pyrenees on Friday. I thought I'd treat myself to some vesrah pads, so popped the calipers off, cleaned them up, swapped out the pads, and put them back. I torqued the bolts that attached the calipers, but just did the screws for the pins that hold the pads in place 'PFT'. Only, it looks like I've over-torqued one and have a hairline crack in the caliper now, which is weeping fluid. Beyond frustrated with myself, since I had the torque wrench sat next to me, but I'm trying to put it out my mind, and focus on getting a set of calipers fitted by Friday this week. She's a 2007 blade in the HRC colours, so has the copper-coloured Tokico calipers. It might be an opportunity to upgrade, but i'd surely need to do the master cylinder, otherwise better calipers would be a waste. Any advice on alternatives that could fit, or even spares from people who have uprated their brakes would be very much appreciated. thanks in advance!
