Can anyone recommend a way of waterproofing troosers?

    'sup y'all

I was out the other night and got caught in a storm.
Top half (textile) stayed dry as a bone, but my jeans got soaked ... and it got me thinking.

I don't normally care about wet jeans as I can change them when I get home, but I'm going on a short break to the IOM soon and will be packing light - no change of trousers (although I may need extra changes of pants ;) ).

Can anyone recommend a waterproofing method such as kagool type trouser covers that I can fold up tiny and keep in the seat unit in case of emergencies?

Or perhaps another way of keeping dry so I can be comfortable when it's dry and dry when it's wet (that don't involve spending £££ on kevlar trousers)?

A cheap pair of tesco waterproof trousers (about £6) given a spray with nikwax work well for short journeys,I use them to work and back if its raining. Going any further I've got textile trousers, again coated in nikwax, kept me dry on west coast Scotland:)

I've used nikwax waterproofed on a pair of draggin jeans, took seven or eight washes though to see a decent effect when raining.

Tbh I just keep an eye on the weather now and if I'm not sure about the weather enough to wear full waterproof kit I've got a pair of golf overtrousers that are waterproof and cost a tenner from one of those American golf superstore places, fold up very small as well.

If you don't mind a bit of camo? You could get some old army gortex trousers off eBay and. Dry easy to slip over leathers or what ever trousers your wearing, sometimes you can find the old MOD police ones both are usually very cheap

Alpinestars rainproof trouser work a treat and also fold up to a small bundle.

I'll try and find a link for you.

    Cheers for the suggestions peeps
I'm heading to Infinity tomorrow, so will see if they have the Alpinstars there. Failing that I'll check the local golf stores

    Cheers guys.

I was alright until I stopped riding.
I was sitting at traffic lights and rain filled the top of the petrol tank like a puddle.
As soon as I moved off it all poured into my lap :D
