    Hi Everyone.

I bought this oil a year ago but i am not sure how long it stood in the shop when i bought it, the bottle does have some dust on it.

Can i still use it, the bottle has not been opened.

Is it over 5 years old ?
I dont see an expiry date ? So i posted many photos if it could help ?

It is for a 2004 fireblade.

I am not sure when it was manufactured. I was told oil lasts 5 years, someone else told me synthetic/ synthetic blend 7 to 8 years... i just dont understand the date codes on the container as posted...

Perhaps i should just go with your advice and use it and keep an eye out for coolant temps on my rides..?

The bottle is also made from oil, does that still work?

Should be fine. I'd pour it into a jug first, just to check it's not separated.

It says it meets API SN standard. This is still a current standard and was introduced in 2010, so the oil should be no more than 13 years old at worst…
