I just stick to what it says on the swing arm,36f 42r as most if my riding is done with the missis on the back, but she don't weigh 13st:D
never had any issues with tyre wear.

I would add a few Psi up from what you run. just hope your not running 34/42r with just you.

Yep running 36 front and 42 rear, that's what it says to run, why is it wrong? never had any issues ,the bloke that fitted my tyres also suggested these pressures(bt016 pro's )
    Jase.

As it lowers the mileage and is not good for riding on the road or track. Maybe why the tyre guy suggests this. come back sooner ;) talking to a mark at MH racing who has worked with the Moto GP guys said the same to me a few weeks ago. higher pressure = less mileage from the tyres. I don't run my car's at the manufacture recommended pressure for the last 20 years as it's not just bikes.

Running 36/42 when cold? i gather means when they heat up (more so on track) they have less contact patch and thus less grip and more ware,. Not something I only know but what load of well more experanced people have written and a few told me.

    As around here.

I run 34/34 now. and 26/26 or lower on the Dunlop D211 GP's on track i'm using on the road and track

Keep pressures manufacturer standard and remember to add some preload to the rear, especially if they 13st.

+1 above, a few clicks of preload sorts the ride out - I will actually say the blade is nice to ride with a pillion! strange but true :)

Less contact patch and less grip = more wear.....?

    How does that work then?
