Hey Guys. Other day, security for the place I work in game to get me after they said they heard my alarm going. I finished work to come back to my bike and find parts had been taken off it whilst I was working. It was in broad daylight too! Was absolutely raging that someone thought they could just come and use my bike as a part donor! Wats the world coming to?! The security guys said they hadn't seen anything but heard the alarm going off and that's when they decided to call me as they knew which unit I work in. (it's a shopping centre) now I'm going around with no screen in rain for the last 2 days.
CCTV? Not that it'll do much in the grand scheme of things, but worth giving to police. Also it's an opportunity for you to ask your employer to increase security. When I caught 2 kids trying to cut the chain from my last bike in the parking bay outside my office, I told my employer who then arranged my own private parking space in the secure garage under my office. Granted not all employers can offer this or will be so helpful, but worth investigating.
There is a camera there but we checked the footage and u can barely make any faces out. Besides even if you see their face, then wat?! Track them down how?! Depressing stuff! Scum needs to be hung for sure. With barbed wire! On another note...... Anyone with a screen I can get my hands on?! Anything at all?
Man that might be the best news going. Thanks a lot. I will to hear what the result is. I have managed to replace the rest of the parts like rearsets and whatnot with my oem parts. Just the screen was left for her to be road worthy.
I know it's not what you wanna hear but you got lucky could have just nicked the bike could be worth parking somewhere else now they know it's there, b&5tards though!
I'll never put that OEM screen on my bike again.. so if you pay the postage from Aberdeen, its yours chief.. small consolation for having your bike parts robbed..

Was just out in the garage, still got the screen.. its like new! off of my 2006 model.. so hopefully fits your bike. Remember you will need to order a screen bolt kit if they took yours..
Awesome!!! Was going to go local and see what I could get for now whilst I order something online. Too broke at the moment. Yeah they did take mine. Their work was meticulous. Nothing was just ripped out. Yeah I have already made arrangements for the next couple weeks for parking as I commute on the bike as well.
Ah I know I'm glad they didn't get the bike but to be honest I think they had targeted the parts for ages. Besides its locked up with an almax and as much as they might not be completely bulletproof, someone trying to get through it would get attention
