Who's currently the most competitive out there? Is it worth trying the compare sites or just go straight direct to the insurance companies
I always use the comparison sites, car used to be with Elephant , but now with Sheila`s wheels. One that got me,was when the Blade was up for renewal, i went on the comparison sites & the best price i could get was with the company who i was currently with MCD( £305 fully comp). They sent to me a renewal letter to say that my my insurance was nearly up & they would have great pleasure in charginig me £ 610 to renew. When i phoned to ask why the difference, i was told to buy off the internet, work that out........
It all depends what sort of car you drive. Every insurance company specialise in certain cars sports/MPV etc and price accordingly. Try Tesco/Admiral/Elephant etc along with the compare websites
use the compare websites as posted above. just got the wifes through. 2lts 2010 S max Fully loaded/ FC protected no claims, and they want £360. I will look about but don't think thats too bad and thats with LV
That's good Matt . Boys on the car forum I'm on are chuffed getting fully comp insurance for a 1.6 VTS at 1400.00 bucks . Yes that's one thousand four hundred lol Crazy
Saxo vts hmmm brings bk memories So far cheapest is swift... If I go direct it even cheaper? Strange eh
I do feel for you younger guys when this subject comes up. The ridiculous sums the insurance companies demand from you is nothing short of extortion. Cheap insurance isn't much of a compensation for getting older, but it still counts.
Yup .. only perk of getting older .... they seem to think that by now I would have slowed down and act sensible on the roads
yeh the advantages of being an old c**t, 210 bhp golf gti turbo, £250 fully comp, protected no claims.
My mums 72 and shes got the golf gti210 brake, I think she pays about £150.00 protected no claims- a petrol head grannie
