casey stoner to retire

    just heard casey stoner will retire from moto gp after the end of the 2012 season. didnt see that coming.

    should be some shuffling going on to secure that seat.

    yeah 100% genuine, he does not enjoy racing any more and believes it has changed.

    he also has a young family, so his heart is not in it.

    Wow, I was not trying to be funny or did not believe you just shocking that someone at the top of there game like he is would jack it in surprises me !

    Good luck to him, if it's the right decision for him I wish him all the best :)

    Can't say he is a hero of mine, but boy can he ride :D

    Great news roll on next year. Having said that the GP is so rubbish no one will either miss him or be watching it.

    not a massive shock really, he has never enjoyed it since he became famous as he hates all the publicity and now he has a baby his mind will be in a different place, looks like valentino just got his lucky break. or honda will most likely give the ride to marc marquez

    It will be a sad loss to the sport IMO. He is an awesome rider. He may not be 'Mr Personality' but I watch bike racing to see the best riders, if I want comedy then I watch the News er I mean a comedy programme.

    At least it will give some of the others a chance.

    I like him too!! As someone else said, I watch racing to see the best riders, not Mr Personality!!!

    I am gutted!!!

    EDIT - Anyway, better to retire at the top of your game than to fizzle out and stop racing because noone wants you on their bike!!!

    I like him............most champions moan, or have desire for more, faster, newer etc....

    Shame to see him go but thats life, would absolutely love to see Rossi back at Honda!
