What's wrong with it? It's fully synthetic. I dump my track oil every 2 or 3 TDs and Motul adds up!

I do appreciate oil is much cheaper than an engine rebuild. On the road where I change oil every 2K mls 12 months they get full syn Motul.

Never had a problem with Castrol myself, both on former race bikes and present road bikes. Nothing better than a paddock of fuming Castrol 'R'. :D:D

20 years ago they did not use to sell recycled oil .
Quality left the castrol factory already long ago .

I doubt very much that Castrol would taint their reputation by selling recycled oil - You have any source of that at all? Genuinely interested.

Which reputation ? Cause it´s longer gone...
also i´m not the one who invented the Nexcel system :D
Look for indipendent oil tests (not from same paper , were the BMW GS will be in every time the best ;))
or better do your own tests , like i did ; than buy some proper fluid to keep engines away front wear and tear.

Quite all companies are using a % of recycled oil , going near 35% to 50% ? Valvoline and Castrol.

Prefer oils with a higher % of virgin oil for my bikes.

I was going to ask on a new thread about oil so this is timely.

So the preferred choice is Motul 300v....but what 'thickness' 10W-40? ...basically road only use.

I guess by 'thickness' you actually refer to viscosity? In that case Honda recommends 10 -30. (At least from 2008 to 2018 models)

I know Honda recommended 10w30 from 08 onwards for the blade but with summers now getting hotter possibly 10w40 might be a better option

I use 10w-50 for all my bikes. But to be honest, our summer is very hot (35-40 Celsius) and no problems.
