Howdy Yea ... I know it's not remotely bikey (unless you ride there), but I've been missing my ride-outs thanks to the crappy weather So I booked in to the Caterham Drift day on the 9th of Dec as a belated birthday prezzy from my folks esp. as Caterham are offering 25% off for the end of season session Anyone else up for a hoon about? Caterham Experience - Silverstone Drift Experience
Enjoy mate, I went to my first drift event a month or so ago. Great fun lots of cheap to expensive cars at Santa pod Have fun
i would like to do one of these but i did a rallying one at silverstone years ago,a 250 mile round trip for 12 minutes in the car! so let us know if it is worth it and how much time you get when you have done it please.
I did it last year and it was a blast. So good that I'm going back. The attendees are split into 2 teams and they've laid out 2 mirrored courses (1per team) both tracks in use at any one time. I think there were 4 cars per team, so you had plenty time to swap drivers, strap in and get comfy while queue up ready for your next run. They want you to get as much time in the cars as possible as there's a mini comp in the afternoon
i dont suppose its that bad a price ,considering you will be destroying a pair of tyres ,i will have to see if there is anything local to me
Here's a couple of pictures from last year: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150554638428574.483881.693698573&type=1&l=c3e9195e94 I'll be taking my GoPro this time
Wasn't quite as much time in the morning as there were only 12 people, so they didn't split us into 2 groups (last time it was 2 groups of 10) Twice as much in the afternoon though as we had the big circuit to fewer people. Altogether I have 45 mins of video. Take off about 15 mins for strapping in and getting out so approx 30 mins driving time over the day
