Caution: Steamy when Wet

Been awol for a bit and not been on the bike much at all this winter.
Went out early last Sunday in the sunshine, quick blast round box hill, Ryka’s and that area, first time in ages. And got caught in a torrential downpour on the way home.
I try and avoid riding in the rain (tricky in this country) but the last couple occasions I’ve been caught in heavy rain, I end up sat at traffic lights with clouds of steam billowing off the bike! Looks ridiculous! Anyone else found this??

 

If the roads are wet you'll get steam.
Do get looks from other road user who think your radiator has just exploded

 

Haha That’s what I thought the first time I got caught in the rain. Even stopped and had a look to make sure...

 

I’m sure my 600 never used to get this steamy!

 

Yup, I’ve had that too where i had to have a look just to be sure nothing had gone tits up.

 

I remember the first time it happened to me, ironically was on a 600. Pulled over to check before I realised what was happening.

 

Aha good, not just me being an eejit then! All the same, I think I’ll probably try to keep it in the dry as much as possible...
