Decided to sell my 08 blade (1st reg October 08) I bought bike a few years ago and put her straight into track form V5 supplied accordingly I was adding some 2014 parts to run her as a dressed up SP lookalike on the road but have decided to sell her in pretence for another road bike I've been offered on a keen deal. Looking to sell bike as a rolling chassis with all the original parts I have to convert her to road form. The bike has not had endless thrashings every weekend as I probably have only used her a dozen or so times. She will have all the original suspension / forks/ levers/ Mirrors/ standard Exhaust/ Clocks etc as expected with a 08 bike. Road fairings (not fitted) will be supplied but currently there is NO front 08 headlamp and its the burgundy red and black colours complete with a rear seat cowl and seat pad mirrors. K&N air filter will stay fitted. you may need various fixings for fairings and be able to do a bit of self DIY fettling...... most of all is bolt on and there is no know faults with the bike whatsoever. I have not experienced heavy oil burning use and that's from fast (well my fast anyhow) track riding. Recently fitted a new battery and she's dry stored on a optimate all over winter. I think its priced accordingly after scanning web for similar aged bikes...... with the expection of you refitting bits. obviously it will suit a keen minded DIY mechanic to check it over and put on road or have her as a great track bike. I have all the parts removed from bike when I did track conversion (there maybe a few small odds and sods required which would be maybe odd fixings and brackets) if road route is what you want. Carbon frame and swing arm covers are on and they will stay with bike (no damage to any part of frame) just a buggar to remove ! plus 2014 rear sub frame will remain on bike. Hel lines will also remain with bike standard calipers. New road rubber will be needed if going on road as there are some Mets Racetech tyres fitted to the current 08 wheels. please take note this sale is for a standard 58 plate bike with 90% of all parts to ride on road to be sold as seen. £4000.00 If sold with all 2014 SP bodywork including headlight which will need fitting . £4650.00 this will also include original 08 fairings as well as above. Don't want to be involved with any offers or insult anyone as I have been offered the exact above from a local dealer who's happy to take bike and parts as listed above all and fit accordingly plus he doesn't want 08 fairings. Yea big arsed bike means Hayabusa in most languages lol. Never ridden 1 before but have sat on 1 and it felt comfy as.
Like most, about to do the first dibbs thing but then seen the last part of the add. Seems it would of made a good track day package compete !!
Have you thought about putting it up for sale as a track bike mate with all the goodies on it? Could do it that way and then sell the road going gear selerately. Probably an easier sale to be honest.
I did mull about it Col but wasn't sure which way to go..... its still a low mileage bike but I'm open to offers if anyone knows or wants it in either form ???
Not having the big bike as mentioned as have persuaded other half to do a south of France tour this summer......... been over to BMW oxford today to look at a GS !!
