Just bought a 2022 non sp Fireblade which has had the Quick Shifter option fitted, I'm very pleased with the bike in general appart from this quick shifter, l understood it is supposed to be one of the smoothest systems out there, it seems o.k on the downshifts but the upshifts are very hit & miss even riding at pace, alot of the time going into neutral from 1st to 2nd. I've adjusted the shifter settings from hard to medium which hasn't made any difference, when it does work it can feel quite clonkey to the point where my 11yr old panigale feels nicer. I am now using the clutch all the time. Is it a trip to the Honda dealer, sorry for the long post, any advice?
There are several posts on here by people who don't quick shift from 1st to 2nd but only for the higher gears. If it's happening on all the gears then yours might just need some adjustment depending on how light or heavy you are with your left foot. Once set up correctly they generally seem to be smooth enough.
i had a similar problem, except mine was both up and down, sometimes it worked ok, then it stopped working,i took it back to the dealers they adjusted it on the dash which seemed to work till i rode it the next day didnt work at all,i took it to a diffirent dealer, they also reset it on the dash but it now works all the time, which is strange
Hope that's a permanent fix for you PARADOC. My bikes booked in next wk so hopefully the problem will be sorted? I'm also at times hitting neutral going from 1st to 2nd via the clutch lever, ( only have ridden the bike a few times so it might just be me not being quite use to the feel yet) when i do try again it engages with a horrible "clonk" which is a bit off- putting. The only other issues i've had are with the battery. Ride safe.
ive only had a few missed gears, prob my fault,so far its working as it should, hopefully yours will get sorted
Am I right in thinking, your boot stick changes the gears? The quick shifter just kills the ignition?
