I've been putting a few performance mods on the bike and before I get the bike in for a custom map for the PCV I need to get myself sorted with an airfilter.
What are peoples recommendations on which brand to get as i'm sure I read somewhere that the K&N for my model is more restrictive than the standard filters!
Has anyone got any experience or views of the BMC ones or pipercross?

Yep BMC are what you want or some race HRC filters cheap on ebay. Tbh the stock filters flow and work well...

    Ha ha, love it Arthur.

Is it worth putting a set of race filters in a road biased bike, or should I a) use road BMC filters or b) leave the standard filters in?

I've already removed the flapper door, so I have a nice flow up to the filters :)

Mate I only use mine on the road but as a petrol head the race filters suggest max power, I should run road filters as they require less cleaning and better filtering, however I still fitted race filters..lol. tbh the amout of power gain is prob not worth the extra cleaning and I do care for my motor and have been tempted to get some hrc filters... But to date I would still have to say I am impressed with the bmc's... No help am I...lol

I'd stick with the road version on a road bike unless you have a specific good reason not to.
