I've ridden two, and both have a big clunk if shifting through 1-2. As you suggest, its because it has to go through Neutral. My 2017 blade does the same. You have to give it a solid click through the gearlever, and be purposeful to go through 1-2 quickshifting. Other bikes I've ridden are the same (S1000RR, Panigale V2, Triumph Street triple etc). One thing I'd like on a road bike from MotoGP/WSBK is a Neutral switch. So gearbox is N-1-2-3-4-5-6. But N can only be used if switch is pressed. I feel it will come soon.
