gonna put new chain and sprockets on my rr6 which is only used for trackdays. standard sprockets are 16f and 42r. at present i am running 15f and 42r, and quite happy with this. but my thoughts are that i may add 1 tooth to rear to make it 43. can u get a 43 t rear sprocket? or should i just leave it as it is.

regardless, if i leave it as it is, do i have to order a chain and sprocket kit for a standard bike and then just disgard the front sprocket? will the standard chain still be the correct length for 15f, 42r set up.

if i could get a 43 for the rear, would the standard chain still be ok?

finally, what kind of chain? did, xring, oring. which would suit better please for track, and easiest to fit.

many thanx, looking frward to reading the advice

Yes 43t sprockets are available, I have been looking at fitting new chain & sprockets on mine, thinking of 530 Tsubaki X-Ring chain, 15f 44r Renthals.
I found A R Racing to be very good on pricing and rear sprocket sizes went from 42-44.

I have a 15t front and 43t rear Renthal sprockets fitted to my RR5 trackbike. I use a Tsubaki Pro chain from Padgetts as used by top riders at the TT. You can buy this in different lengths to suit your setup although it's not cheap at £144! It is the best chain you can buy though.
