Might treat myself to one for the new year. Anyone got any suggestions regarding the various manufacturers and whether to run standard gearing? :)

Rethal sprockets. Tsubaki sigma Xring gold chain. Ive got 15 and a 16 front. 42 and 44 rears. I run 16/44!!

I looked into doing the 520 chain modification, if I was replacing chain now I would do it.

I've just changed my chain and sprockets on the bike and went for a steel JT front sprocket (standard gearing) and an anodised black Talon rear sprocket (gold or silver wouldn't match the wheel/bike colour) and a DID gold chain.

Renthal sprockets & Tsubaki chain from B&C Express for me.
Use whatever gearing you like, but I always find standard a bit too tall. ATM I'm +2 on the rear sprocket.

Renthal & Tsubaki seems to be the way to go. Thanks for the replies.

Doubt any aftermarket chain will last as well as the original - got 30k from original, about 15 from replacement (cannot remember make used)

I got 25,000 outta my DID X ring Gold and it was second hand. I use a hard anodised Renthal rear and I reckon that extends chain life!
