Hi guys. I just wanted to pick your brains before I attemp to swap my OE pads for SBS Street Excels.

Is the procedure for swapping pads basically the same for an ABS model as a standard model? I have done plenty of brake pads on standard bikes but this will be the first time on my ABS Blade. I have a brake calliper wind back tool and I just wanted to check there was nothing special I have to do to move the pistons back in to the calipers?

Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks.

The same as non ABS... Just give them a good clean bang your new pads in and your away, you shouldn't need a wind back tool! you should be able to just ease them back with your hands, just make sure the level of fluid in the pot has some space and remove your cap, worst case you might need to remove some fluid depending if it's ever been topped up when the pads are low. I ran SBS Street Excels on mine and they are a great replacment for the OE's...

As above, clean it all thoroughly before you push pistons back in,you won't need any tools to do that.
I've just finished changing the back pads and fitted a little something to make the rear brake more effective. Just the front to do.
