Cheapo eBay items are plagued by dodgy fulcrums and sloppy linkages.
Your front brake is your life saver. False economy. but at the end of the day it's your life.
To quote Bell helmets from the 80's. "if you've got a $60 head buy a $60 helmet"

    Agree with Kev.
I always put good quality aftermarket ones on like ASV etc.
They're not 'expensive' in the grand scheme of things compared to some of the mods we nearly always do. And if they're in good nick when you've finished with them you always get a bit of money back selling them . It's a no brainer

As an example bought both Pazzo and Pazzo copies.
The copies were identical in machining quality and tolerance so functionally the same.
There is a certain level of trust in testing and material quality of brands and thats why I would opt for branded.
Just a personal opinion but I class brake levers with equipment such as as tyres and brake pads and would not buy no name parts.

Don’t mind cheap aftermarket parts if it’s mainly for
aesthetics, but not for the likes of brake levers.

I've had them and wouldn't have them again, never had any problems with them and even did a track day with some but there is always that doubt!

I prefer OEM full length levers really, full leverage and much better feel than shorty levers.

Chinese fairings and screens are great though! ;)

I've had cheap levers and never had a problem. I did check them carefully before fitted. My mate fitted a different set and hes front brake locked up as the lever caused it to bind.
I now have Asv levers fitted. And tbh they feel so much better in the fingers.

Only person I know with a bad story about cheap levers is the one who crashed on the SF straight at Donnington due to brakes binding because they overheated when the lever got slightly stuck.

    That's one reason I wouldn't get them.

    Cheap no way...

Got TWM about £180 for the pair with a bit of discount as I bought a few bits from one supplier, funny thing is TWM made the Ducati Performance levers, which are 100% identical to the ones that are fitted to the SP2 but twice the price, but I still bought them .. dumbass... No doubt if they did HRC levers I'd buy aswell for stupid money

I've had Pazzo, pazzo copies, OEM, ASV and brembo.

Brembos were just so sexy!! Even my OCD allowed having a ASV on the clutch side!

    Have the BDS ones.
BDS is laser etched onto the lever, to be honest is a bit tacky, but if Id known before hand may have ordered direct from Italy.

I think we have talked about these lever before Raphael?

Edited to add BDS are £20 a lever cheaper on website prices so £140 for the pair, I did quote £180 for the pair but cant be 100% certain on what I paid.

Mine are Chinese, they are well machined and fit ok. You are ok If you have a bit of technical savey to see if they are not right before fitting, some might need a slight mod.

Never again! Had a snide set on, got 2 miles from the house and the front was binding and getting worse the hotter it got. Had to remove the lever to get home:eek: bought ASV’s in their place without a hitch since :)
