Working about 0.5 miles from there tomorrow - that dealer have sold them at good prices in the past, just check the sump has been replaced on it (or not gone rotten) as it could well be one of the affected ones.

All I am guessing its been priced as a pre face lift 2011. Wouldn't worry about the sump pan even if it is corroded (its got 2400 miles on no worries) its still cheaper than anything out there age & mileage with a £700 retail Akro can.

I nearly bought a S1000RR from them a year or so back with next to no mileage but decided against it as part ex on Blade was gash.

Mates sump was rotten at 300 miles - its now a warranty job, other mate who was forced to pay for replacement on his Mk2 had run it for 6 months but its accepted now to treat customers a bit better

Panzer owning mates say price is actually about right, if its on original tyres it will need a fresh set at that mileage as they will be shot, so add £275 to that price to be correct.

Mates know these bikes inside out - latest message is :

The reg date is at the start of 2012
So it's almost 2 year old
Service due at 6,400 miles, will cost around £200

Looks a great buy! Reg date of 1/1/12 must be incorrect - as its a 12 reg plate - so must be March onwards.

No mention of traction control / quick shift - so might not be top spec one.

Very valid point on the TC/QS that may be the answer!

On closer inspection I'm sure I can see the shifter.

Don't think it's overly cheap me sen.

Not when the equiv 12 plate Blade with the same mileage can be had for £8.5K, it's only really mirroring List pricing in it's depreciation

Yes you can get blade o% , but that bm would of been £13700 ish , so it is a bargain at that price ,

Try a bm , then you might just change your mind ( blade everytime ) ,

Blade is not in the same league , with all that spec on it , sorry but it's not .

For sure the BM with all its gadgets is a great bike on the road aswell as the track n has forced the japanese manufacturers to up their game and add diff modes, traction control n abs to keep up.

However the Blade doesnt come with any of that and all the input is left to me, the rider, this is the reason why i personally wud stick with the Blade. My R6 was the same and i loved it!!

Im sure there are alot of people out there who wud disagree with me but im sticking to me guns, i like a bike where ive got sole input not some electronic brain.

And the Blade is alot cheaper than the BM new or second hand, leaving me money for new kit, insurance n fuel :)

Just priced one of this spec up new!

    Bike £13,735.00
    Motorsport Colour Paintwork £465.00
    Heated Grips £230.00
    Akra Exhaust £705.00

    £15,135.00

So £5500 saving over list (appreciate probably no one pays full list price)

    I'm wondering the same!

Just out of curiosity, what makes the BMW better than the blade? Excuse my lack of bike knowledge, it's all very new to me.

More power (192 BHP), more technology (ABS that's reliable and doesn't need 4 hours+ labour time to bleed!, Quickshifter, Traction Control, Power Modes, Anti Wheelie etc). Brembo brakes superb compared with the Blade brakes. I've rode a few (mate works in Sales at Main Dealer) - great bikes!

Still happy with the Blade though - main benefit is its a lot cheaper!
