It will do it if you disconnect the battery.

Is anything else on the LCD resetting to factory default, kph/mph etc. To hold it's settings it must be constantly live from the main battery or have a battery back up in the unit itself. With the fairing coming off I'd be suspicious of a multi plug being jarred.

Fuses all sound . Only other thing I can think of is that I had a second headlight loom that I chopped down so all it has on is the clock plug . I might of cut a earth or wire that runs the lighting on the clocks as I noticed that the indicator light does not work or the hazard which is the same on clocks also the flash blue one does not light up when I flash . But my fuel light is fine mph and rev all working so is my gear indicator so for track I don't think it would matter just clock resetting

well the power that supplies the clock permanent feed does the hiss
too so if its off too you will have to trace it back to find the fault.
both are on a 3amp fuse if I remember right.

Hiss light not flashing just been in and set it too on but no flashing but also all fuses ok the only thing it can be is my cutting of the second clock loom I must of accidentally cut whatever sent the live feed to clocks

start from the 3 amp and work your way forward to find the break.
trying to trace from the clock back is a far harder job.
