I have the slave cylinder off my 06 blade with the pushrod removed for a bit of cleaning / maintenance and my two year old son decided to pick the pushrod up and use it as a drum stick against a concrete block!

There is a light score on it about an inch in from where it sticks out of the engine.

How far does the slave push the rod in to disengage the clutch?
I'm concerned that if it's refitted the scored part will eventually tear the seal in the housing and cause a leak.

Should I just buff it down with wire wool, silicone grease it and re-fit or order a new one?

Have a look what a new 1 costs mate. I'm sure it's only about £20 if IRC.
I bought 1 for my SP1 when I was refurbish it.

Make sure you take the high spot off and any sharp bits and fit the damaged end in so it doesn't nibble the seal

Cheers lads. Think I'll just buy a new pushrod for peace of mind!
