    Fuckin hell!! Brand new 'Blade this morning, picked up in the pissing rain = good fun (squeeky arse)
    Loving it so far, 200 miles in the rain already, cant wait till its broken in.

    Just a couple of mods id like to do;

    1. Remove pillion footpegs.
    I caught my boots on them a couple of times and since i dont take pillions, need them off.

    2. Reverse gear.

    Prefer the "hit down to shift up" method.

    Any body got a 2014 'Blade that has done these?

    Welcome, had to read that 3 times as was wondering how you were going fit a reverse gear (thought maybe you were a short arse and struggling to back out the garage).
    It's late and I know what you mean now!

    I wanna take the rear foot pegs off mine , looks like a big job as it's an abs model and has a big black unit in the way , all the abs electronics. Don't fancy touching all that to gain access to the screws securing the pegs. Maybe a job for honda dealer :-(

    I have a 2013 with 1 up and the rest down and not pillon pegs

    for the pillon pegs there is a huge topic here somewhere. and for the shifting pattern, I'm not sure if you can turn the linkage around or you need a different set of rearsets as I put some gilles on before I even rode with the oem pegs...

    enjoy the bike and breaking her in!

    Hi Fella,

    Picked mine up Friday and was out all day on it yesterday (mostly ni the rain with Super Corsa tyres on). Was taking it very easy. Still getting used to the power myself having come from a 675. Was very cautious too because of the tyres and the fact I barely ridden a bike since last October. So much fun though and I can't wait to get some sunshine! Think I will sacrifice immense dry weather grip for some all round wet and dry tyres. What are the Bridgestone S20's like that come as standard?

    S20's are very good tyres but nothing's giving you enough grip to stop you fishtailing in the wet. Had a slide that felt like it could have ended as a highside when I was overtaking in third or fourth at 80 on a wet road recently. Shat my pants and learned a lesson.

    I have taken pegs off my 2012/13 which is same as yours. Not as difficult a job as expected. Took no more than just over an hour and that was me being ultra careful. Prob could of done it quicker. Well worth it though. Transforms the looks. I put a tail tidy on and got my seat cowl at the same time so now looks awesome.
