How any turns in total should I have for comp and rebound?
Mine only have 2.5 turns each from full in to full out.
Doesn't seem a lot compared to my previous bike

Check the manual dude the standard settings are in there. Also different suspension different amount of adjustability but then again 04 bike might just be hanging out because its never been done and there for its stiff as hell

Are you sure it's not just the number of clicks instead of number of full turns?

Mines an 09 so not sure.

Hmm think mines more than that.. The red rebound I think is about 5 and I'm think about 10 on the top compression

    Standard factory settings:

    04/05
    FRONT SUSPENSION:

Spring preload-Adjust the preload adjuster on the fork leg with a 22mm spanner by turning it counter clockwise until it lightly seats.Thereafter, turn it clockwise 7 turns.

Rebound damping- Turn the screw adjuster clockwise until it lightly seats, then turn it counter clockwise 2 turns. 2.5 for 06/07

Compression damping- Turn the small screw adjuster on the bottom of the fork leg clockwise until it lightly seats, then turn it counter clockwise approx. 2 turns until the punch mark aligns.

    REAR SUSPENSION.

Rebound damping- turn the screw adjuster on the bottom of the shock clockwise until it lightly seats. Then turn it counter clockwise approx.2 1/2 turns until the punch marks align.

Compression damping- turn the screw adjuster on the remote reservoir clockwise until it lightly seats, then turn it counter clockwise about 9 clicks so that the punch marks align.

Spring preload- The spring preload adjuster is in the standard position in position 4 of the 10 on the collar.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks for the replies.
Yeah I've got the settings, but unsure if I should have more turns in total?
Mine doesn't have any clicks, so I guess I shod adjust in 1/4 turns? That would give me 10 1/4 turn adjustments in total, which is normal I guess?
