Many will have read of my 'ideals' about customer service. I am very 'black and white' and no grey shall be entertained. Just recently I purchased a few protein drinks from a local supermarket. One turned out to be sour and lumpy, but well within the use by date. Whereas most people would just throw the £2.00 product in the bin, I returned it and asked for an analysis of what was wrong, under the pretence of wanting to insulate myself from harm should I continue to use the product. Just moments ago a had an unexpected courier delivery and found that the manufacturer had sent not only an apology, but 2 packs containing 14 drinks. Needless to say, I phoned the company with my thanks.
Nice! I had a similar experience with Oakley sunglasses. Years ago I had a pair of Oakley Blades that cracked when they were hit by a shell casing at the range. I sent Oakley a letter with a picture of the glasses. I explained how the glasses were sitting on the table (not my face) when an ejected shell glanced them and they broke. Oakley sent me 4 pairs of glasses. I did neglect to mention the shell was from a M107 that I was playing with, but they didn't need to know that..lol
