As my Blade has now gone, my custom bracket and pins for the constand lift is now superfluous. This is a big improvement on the standard fixing kit. I am looking for £80 delivered. It is heavy so postage is quite expensive too. The bracket is 430 stainless steel so will not rust. Here is a photo.
Sorry to ask, but i thought that the brackets from Constands had now been sorted out and fitted the bikes fine now ..... or am i missing something.
If you compare this one to the standard constands one you will see this is far superior. It completely eliminates the radial movement that slowly happens with the standard plate. This makes the unit rock solid.
I am interested , but I couldn't manage to get my ConStand to work at all, even with the new parts they send me. I am not sure if this will do the magic for me. Also, it's a lot of money even if it's a excellent quality and handmade in UK ! I might think about it or make me a pre Christmas season offer !
Hi don't understand why you could not get it to work , I have one and mine picks up the bike perfectly , both wheels equally off the ground
I take it Steve you are in development of an RC8 mounting bracket lol , Just bought a VFR1200 for touring next year , could do with a mounting bracket for that ??
I'm struggling to get the plate at the right angle on mine, can't seem to line the holes up to the pins, any tips? The instructions aren't great
I really don't know. Probably I did something wrong with the mounting or whatever etc. I got help as well, but we both were not able to get it right. Some clear pictures might help, so I could see what I did wrong...
it couldn't be simpler with the modified bracket. All I did was to loosen the two big mounting bolts that fix the plate to the stand so the plate can rotate freely within the radial slot. get someone else to stand the bike upright off the side stand, guide the pins into the mounting points then nip the bolts up. Slide the stand back out of the bike, torque the bolts up, re check the position of the pins relative to the mounting holes on the bike....job done.
i have purchased the pins from BS Morotparts and i will no doubt make another mounting plate to suit.
Is yours no the Constands lift Martin? Why dont you think it will fit - hole pitch? Just so as you know, the plate is held onto the stand using the central Ø16mm thru hole and the oposite slotted hole. the top and bottom holes are fixed at the correct distance to take the lifting pins and fit the bike.
