Well had a my constands lift for a while now and had a few problems setting it up, partly down too me being an idiot I expect and partly because one of the parts was slightly bent. The people at constands have been brilliant they somehow got the stand to me next day from Germany Have answered all my emails very fast and sent me replacement parts out in just a couple of days. Fantastic bit of kit, bit of a fiddle to set up at first but you only have to do that once! 160 quid is a bargain IMO Excuse the dirty bike and garage that's jobs for my next days off
As Martin said they are a great bit of kit I have even sat on my bike while on stand with no problems .Glad you got it sorted Martin .
Like I said delivery was faster and customer service was better than any one I have ever dealt with in the uk!
Dunno if I'm gonna get pulled for the plate or not as its kind of tucked under quite alot, not bumped into a copper yet :-S
My garage floor is like your typical ripley grey concrete type stuff (tell me if that makes no sense) I can move it about but not as easy as Steve betts does on his nice silky smooth floor (bastard) You just have to sort of twist over the bumps
I have been trying to think of something to put down on the garage floor just want it to be cheap and easy to fit
I think that's what the cops might say lol The car that was the best £255 I have spent no one believes it was that cheap apart from the mother inlaw still can't understand what it's suposed to say lol
My mrs ain't gonna be happy when I get the garage floor re done before the the lounge and dinning room gets new carpet! I hope you feel guilty now
I got the floor, you've got the stand, you want the floor I want the stand so let's do a swop? Something is not right but I can't put my finger on it?
Hi Martin .There are loads of products that self level and are out of the bag but you have to assume that there may be no Damp proof membrane under the concrete slab and this may have an effect on the cureing or finished quality of the product if the floor was damp you could if you had an handy mate form a new granite floor which would be about 50mm min thick the materials being Grit sand Granite chippings Cement and water and half a days work .My easy fix would be lay some plastic sheet down (visqueen) is the trade name and then by using thin wooden packers if required over lay with some decent 18mm ply screwed down in the concrete .Nice and warm and easy to do .
