Dropped my best Arai Schwantz lid the other day & it literally exploded ...broken bits everywhere! Gutted & the only spare cash I'd got was for a new washer dryer....so I did the sensible thing................................. And bought a new lid with it Looks like the bloke will be wearing the same pants for a week or so or he'll have to learn to hand wash
Yep agree, I've never had problems with any of my shoei's, good build quality & so easy to fit visors etc unlike the aria. This nxr feels so light....can't wait to try it tomorrow Looks lush now I've fitted the dark visor
That's nice! A friend of mine was thinking of getting the nxr ' seduction' until I pointed out the logo on the side looks like it reads HOE Don't think Mr Shoei have quite thought that one out lol
Nice lid, Lozzy. Same story here. Wore an Arai Viper GT for years and was convinced I'd never get comfy in anything else but then put an NXR on and haven't looked back.
Very nice, I just bought a NXR as well. I had an Arai, not top of the range, but still thought them to be a bit heavy and low tech really, compared to what else is around now. Also like the cut, easier to move the head around when riding a sportsbike. The Ferry was delayed for 12 hours in Portsmouth, so went to Helmet City in Chichester !!
Interesting thread really as I am Arai through and through!! 20 years I have been wearing Arai Helmets (love them), but I still hate the visor change, always no matter how careful you are feels like you are going to break it.
Love my Shoei NXR,fits so well and feels really light. Get the transitions visor even if he has to go to the launderette for a few months
